Horrible buzzing, but great picture,

We purchased this TV and it had a really loud and inappropriate buzzing sound so we exchanged it for another one (same model). The replacement turned out to be defective as well, but this time we're too lazy to return it and we're just learning to live with the buzzing. Some of our friends have plasma TVs and they agree that the buzzing from this TV is not normal.
However, the picture quality is awesome, way better than we were expecting!
P.S. the screws for the base were the wrong screws the first time around. That was annoying.

I COULD NOT WAIT TO GET THIS TV SET UP!
BUT I HAD TO WAIT BECAUSE WE WERE PAINTING THE LIVING ROOM.
ONCE WE GOT IT OUT OF THE BOX,AND HOOKED IT UP,THE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS APPEARED RIGHT ON THE SCREEN IT DOWNLOADS JUST LIKE COMPUTER!

Overall I think this is a good tv, but the buzzing is unbelievably annoying. I had heard that plasma's have a buzz to them, but this is crazy loud. Any time I switch channels the pause while the new channel comes up you can here it. Likewise when quiet scenes come on.
For the great price I'd buy it again, but at full price I'd probably consider a non-plasma.

I have the 2008 model of this TV in my bedroom (actually, one model higher, the 450), so I felt comfortable ordering this from Amazon as it seems this model has the same panel as the 450 model and most of the same features, other than a minor difference in some sound features.
I received this TV on Friday and the picture is amazing. Better than my older TV.
The surface of the TV is fairly reflective, but the picture is so bright, I did not have any problems viewing even in a south facing room with open curtains.
The only issue I've noticed is that there is a very low hum (I wouldn't call it a buzzing) when the TV is in operation, but it's not loud enough to be noticeable at my 10 foot viewing distance with the sound muted and certainly not with the volume at any appreciable level.

Well I had to hold back on my dream purchase. I originally wanted a 50" but my currently living room is too small. I decided to buy the cheapest nice tv I could find so that when the time comes I can purchase my 50" I could. I found this 42" on AMAZON for $499.99. This was the perfect price point and it included a free wall mount which was worth about $65.00. I actually didn't even realize the wall mount was free until I added it to the checkout. The shipping was free and no taxes :) A couple days later I go back to the amazon page and noticed the price changed to $454.98. I emailed Amazon and they respond with something like, "Although we don't guarantee price changes, we will refund you the $45 since it hasn't left the warehouse yet". I was very happy they did this. A few days later the delivery company called to set up an appointment. 2 Guys then showed up on time and set up the tv for me to make sure it all worked. I didn't have to do a thing! Sure beats the heck out of buying one in a store. Also, I am not too worried about it not being a 1080p. I haven't gotten into Blue Ray yet. The only HD content I watch is from my Netflix instant streaming. It looks AMAZING!
