I live in Quito - Ecuador South America and I have problems with the television. I can't tune to TV's channels, this has generated many disappointment. Other presentations of the product are magnificent.

Good portable device,
by R. Esquivel, 2010-07-01
This is a good little portable multimedia device, that plays DVDs, CDs and the TV works great. It does everything stated on the product description, with the exception of playing videos from a SD card or jump drive, which is the real reason I purchased the device. I have not been able to play any of my videos/movies I have stored on my computer and the instruction booklet has no info for this. All my movies are in .AVI format which plays well on windows Media player but doesn't register on the player. Also I was a little annoyed that it only has a 5-pin mini plug-in which is OK for connecting to a computer, but doesn't work for a thumb drive without getting an adapter(which I couldn't find locally anywhere and had to order from Amazon)Otherwise a good little device. P.S If anybody knows how to watch a movie from the SD card or thumb drive let me know.
Nice portability... But,

I had read in other reviews that the earlier version of this player had a problem with freezeups, so decided to take a chance on the latest model. Well, had to send it back immediately as it had frequent pauses in video and sound like it was having laser read problems. The second unit, which I now am using, still does a little click sound from time to time. I decided to keep it in hopes that it will not get worse.
It does produce a nice picture resolution for this small format, and the TV portion is cool. The only problem is finding a strong enough signal with the provided weak antenna. I'll have to see about buying a stronger one later.
If you don't remember to bring your headset the little speakers do a pretty fair job with the sound.
Also like the ability to show images from a SD card from my camera. The other video input is a good idea too. You really get a lot of capability for mobile viewing at a very reasonable price compared to other more limited featured brands.
Sure hope it hangs together so I can enjoy video and TV from my car while waiting for my wife's kidney treatments.
Like the item BUT,
by Treasure Research Library, 2010-06-10
I received the item and started the charge of the internal battery. After 48 hrs, the battery life was 5 minutes and it went dead. I like the TV and features but the screen picture is fair quality. I have a mygotv 3.5" and that picture is 10x better. The battery life stinks. The reception on the antenna is fair and I have not hooked it to my camper outside antenna. I like it and will return it or use my extended warranty. Also the help 866-703-6275 on the warranty and owners manual is DISCONNECTED, no help from manufacture. It is a good value for the price if you can get a working , China made unit.
