I do not know what this stuff is "Comprtent and Good for shaving or signaling" so I can not review it. Basically, I am teacher not a rocket scientist but I can tell you that these dvd disc works for my students.They save hd videos that my students make in school. These disc fit two criteria: 1) Cheap 2) Work. Therefore I recommend these dvd disc for others to purchase. Before I forget....my students said that their is no difference between the brand names versus amazon at least in their eyes and brains. Me personally I believe these kids since they are still in high school and they spend a majority of their time using electronics gadgets and will speak their minds if they feel the product does not work.

I have been using these to move data to computers not on my network and then just toss the disc out after the transfer. The design and branding on the spindle case and the disc themselves is very simple, almost amateurish, but I suppose that is how they are able to bring these to market at such a low price. Bottom line- they store data just fine so don't be afraid to save money by buying blank media from Amazon. The blank media at my local drug store costs twice as much and am not excited about driving to a computer superstore just to buy blank DVDs, so I ordered the 100-pack of these DVD+Rs and I'm happy to report they work as advertised. I burned 1800 photos onto one the other night using a Sony DVD drive at 16x speed in about 15 mins, while watching TV on the pc at the same time. (yes, they are rated at 16x, but I like to be conservative when I'm not in a hurry) At 20 cents each,

THE ONLY PROBLEM W/ GIVING 5 STARS IS PETTY .. I DON'T LIKE BLACK LINES ON LOWER SECTION OF DVD .. iT'S NOT A BIG PROBLEM .. I USE A CASIO CW-E60 THERMAL CD/DVD PRINTER FOR CD/DVD LABELING .. THE LINES CREATE PROBLEMS W/ CENTERED LINE PRINTING (BETWEEN LINES) .. ( NO BIG DEAL ) THE AMAZON BASICS 16X DVD+ 4.7GB SEEM TO BE AN OUTSTANDING VALUE .. NO COASTERS YET .. FINALLY , THE NO LINE DVD'S WOULD GET A 5 STAR RATING ..
